River Severn 20th & 21st August 2009

I fished the Severn day ticket water once again, a change from the usual Welsh Dee. Its great to be back on this water with so many great runs and deep pools to try. You never know whats going to hit your flies?!! Grayling or Trout tend to give a good account of themselves up here. Caersws-aa have many a mile of the Upper Severn and I absolutely adore it and worth the long drive.

A great two days joined by my fishing Buddy for the second, covering many miles producing numerous Trout and Grayling. They were going crackers for the Klinkhammer & Elk hair Caddis flies. Also the heavy nymphs produced some nice Trout from the deep pools. The second day the dries did the business as the Severn had cleared up from the previous day.

A glorious time up here with breathtaking scenery, what a better way to unwind spending two days off work!!!

Always a pleasure fishing the Upper Severn............

Until Next time...............................................................Tight Lines
