Today was the Day that will stick in our fly fishing memories for many many years to come. We had finally arranged to meet up on the Severn, Glen, Matt and Guy (Orvisfan off Fly.Forum). A great bunch of Guys and a real pleasure to fish with, swapping flies trying every run and riffle made for a perfect day. Not only that several 2lb+ Grayling and a Lunker 3lb beauty hit the net, personal bests being beaten.
The day was magnificent in every way, picking up tips and swapping techniques that each one of us use and exchanging fly patterns. Thanks to Glen a new technique for landing the Ladys will be used from now on and hopefully see more big fish hit the net.
I certainly cant do the day any more justice than what Glen has written on his blog, You can read his report here Glens Blog, but before you click the link have a look at the pictures of The Magnificent Severn.
This truly is a wonderful river with good company to match and several Lunkers to top the day off, Life doesn't get much better than this.
Thanks for a brilliant day Lads, I cant wait to get out and at em again.
Absolutely ace day...and some of the biggest grayling I have ever seen!!!
